Briefly: A New CRT Track & a Smarter Way to Dispense Gloves

Medtrade Announces CRT Education Track

Medtrade 2024 will include a new Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) track, overseen by Alexis Ward, the new Senior Director of Payer Relations for the American Association of Homecare (AAHomecare).

In an Aug. 25 announcement, Medtrade said the new track will cover topics such as securing coverage for CRT; CRT repair best practices; what comes after passing the ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) exam; CRT sales; lobbying for CRT; and managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Medtrade is scheduled for March 26-28 in Dallas.

Medline’s SmartBox Designed to Reduce Glove Waste

Noting that 65 billion gloves per month are thrown away globally, Medline has launched a newly designed box to more efficiently store and dispense exam gloves.

SmartBox, Medline said, can reduce glove waste by 33 percent by reducing the number of gloves that fall to the floor as they’re being pulled from the box, and reducing the numbers of times that healthcare professionals inadvertently grab more gloves than they want.
