AARC Elections Now Underway

Voting is underway for American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) 2024 officers, directors at large, and specialty section chair positions. Active and Life members of AARC as of Aug. 28 can vote now through Sept. 29 for President Elect, Director at Large, Ambulatory and Post-Acute Care Section Chair, and Transport Section Chair.

Medline Discusses HME Industry Challenges

In an August interview, Paul Miller, Medline’s Director of Business Development for HME, addressed the challenges currently confronting the HME industry, as well as business opportunities for industry members. Miller highlighted the growing importance of partnership and innovation within the home medical equipment market, saying, “We are seeing the needs of consumers change as the desire to stay home is at an all-time high. In the past, patients primarily accepted whatever insurance would cover, often settling for the bare minimum. Now they are seeking products that cater to their lifestyle. HME providers should take a closer look at how industry partnerships with suppliers can help manage growth for the future.”

NCPA Registration Open for Annual Convention

A reminder that the National Community Pharmacists Association’s (NCPA) annual convention takes place in Orlando, Fla., at the Orange County Convention Center, Oct. 14-17. The event includes Student Programming and the Senior Care Summit. Registration is now open.
