Broda Hires Lead Clinical Education Manager 

The long-term care seating and wheelchair company hires Brenda Mahon, OTD, OTR, to apply her deep experience to developing and executing on Broda’s clinical education strategy.

Long-term care wheelchair seating maker Broda has hired Brenda Mahon, OTD, OTR, as its new Clinical Education Manager. 

In that role, Mahon will be responsible for developing and executing the clinical education strategy for Broda. She will also build her clinical education team and collaborate with other Broda equipment dealers, care providers, researchers, facility managers, clinicians, as well as end users and their caregivers. 

“The addition of an experienced clinician to the Broda team is exciting, and Brenda will immediately add to our foundation by bringing knowledge, experience and energy which will benefit us in clinical research, improved clinical presentations, and assist in future product development,” said Mike Gregory, president of Broda. 

With longer than 20 years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist (OT), Mahon has worked in various care environments and settings as a clinician, care director and educator. An accomplished educator with experience as an Adjunct Professor of Occupational Therapy at Dominican College in Orangeburg, New York. Mahon has also presented at the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) conference on the topic of seating and positioning. 

Mahon said her career in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities gives her first-hand knowledge of the comfort and positive outcomes that Broda wheelchairs and chairs provide.

“I have been a big fan of Broda wheelchairs for the entire span of my career. I have witnessed first-hand how the right wheelchair can instantly improve a person’s quality of life,” Mahon said.
