MAMES Celebrates 40th ‘Birthday Bash’

More than 230 MAMES members showed up for the in-person event, which featured networking, education, vendor interaction and entertainment.

The Midwest Association for Medical Equipment Services & Supplies (MAMES) recently celebrated its 40th Birthday Bash at its annual Conference and Display Hall.

Held April 26-28 in Des Moines, Iowa, the event featured networking, education, vendor interaction and entertainment. More than 230 MAMES Members attended the event.

“All of our education was specifically designed by our MAMES committee members from human resources and leadership to cash vs. Medicare to reimbursement and more,” MAMES Executive Director Rose Schafhauser said. “It was amazing to see everyone come together once again at MAMES! And with an amazing vendor display hall featuring 55 MAMES Associate Members, which this year included pre-vendor hall time for one-on-one meetings. We were thrilled with our turn-out and results.”

Forty-seven of the 55 displaying vendors came to this event as a MAMES annual or event sponsor and, in many cases, as both, according to Jim Schafhauser, who heads up MAMES Member Services.

“These are the folks who allow us to put together events that provide incredible learning and networking opportunities but also allow us to hire speakers and entertainment for our events that bring a whole new level of excitement and fun to our MAMES gatherings,” he said.
