Sunrise Opens New Tennessee Production Facility

The Nashville-based facility will manufacture Magic Mobility wheelchairs, as well as distribute its Leckey and QUICKIE wheelchairs throughout North America.

Wheelchair manufacturer Sunrise Medical has opened a new Nashville-based production and distribution facility that will make the company’s Magic Mobility power wheelchairs.

The company added that Sunrise Medical Associates are immediately selling and supporting the Magic Mobility line across the North American market.

Magic Mobility products that will be immediately produced in Nashville include:

  • Magic Mobility Extreme X8, with an all-terrain 4x4 drive base that can power through sand or snow and up or down curbs.
  • Magic Mobility Frontier V6, with a mid-wheel drive base that is ideal for the outdoors, yet its size makes it a capable indoor performer.
  • Magic Mobility Frontier V4, which is offered in both a front-wheel-drive and a rear-wheel-drive configuration for users looking for their ideal “go anywhere” drive configuration.

"We can’t be more excited to sell, build and support these amazing products,” said Larry Jackson, president of Sunrise Medical North America. “With the opening of our new manufacturing facility in Nashville, we are further reinforcing our commitment to offering the very best delivery times, highest quality and outstanding support for Magic Mobility products.”

The Nashville facility will also distribute other products throughout North America, including the entire Leckey pediatric offering. Also, the full line of QUICKIE’s highly successful powered wheelchairs will start being assembled and shipped early next year.

“This new facility will have such a positive impact for our customers and marks a major milestone for Sunrise Medical,” Jackson added. “In combination with our ISO 13485 certified manufacturing facilities in Fresno and Tijuana, we’ve increased our footprint, ensuring that the highest quality products are delivered in the fastest possible manner throughout all of North America.”
