ATHOMES Annual Meeting Agenda Announced

The presentations and presenters have been set for the 2023 ATHOMES Annual Meeting, taking place Sept. 28-29 in Nashville, Tenn.

In an Aug. 25 news announcement, the Association for Tennessee Home Oxygen & Medical Equipment (ATHOMES) said registration was open for the event, which will take place at the Sheraton Music City Nashville Airport.

The agenda for Sept. 28 features the ATHOMES board meeting; a general session; committee updates; and presentations including “Recent CME Mandates for Accreditation Organizations,” sponsored by ACHC; “The Pros and Cons of Outsourcing Components of Your DME Operations,” by Mary Ellen Conway, RN, BSN, Capital Healthcare Group; and “What’s in Store for 2023: Changes That Will Help Shape the Future for DME Suppliers,” by Craig Douglas, VP Payer Relations, VGM.

After exhibitor time, the Sept. 28 presentations continue with “Retail Sales: What Are We So Afraid Of?!” by Tim VanAntwert, VGM; and “State/Payer Advocacy: Medicare Advantage and More,” by Laura Willard, AAHomecare. That will be followed by provider roundtables and a vendor reception.

On Friday, after breakfast exhibit time and networking opportunities, presentations include “Enhancing Revenue Streams: Unlocking Success Through Effective Patient Collections & Intake Procedures,” by Dawn Clayton, Chapman DME Billing; “Tennessee Payers,” by Jessica Hill, TennCare; “Carelon Provider Portal,” by Sharon Pruitt, Carelon; “Federal Washington Update: It’s an Election Year,” by John Gallagher, VGM; and “What’s New with Medicare?” by Belinda Yandell, CGS Community Coach.
