Encore Healthcare Celebrates Software Platform Milestone

Encore Healthcare’s Nexus respiratory management software has reached a significant milestone.

In an Aug. 1 news announcement, Encore Healthcare said Nexus is now “successfully serving over 100,000 patients across the U.S.,” adding that the achievement “is a testament to Encore Healthcare’s commitment to revolutionizing respiratory care and improving patient outcomes.”

The company described Nexus as “an outcome-focused respiratory management software” that “has been instrumental in transforming the way home medical equipment companies and post-acute facilities manage chronic respiratory patients in the home and out-of-hospital care settings. By harnessing evidence-based guidelines and clinical protocols, Nexus provides care teams with a scalable, systematic approach to effectively engage and manage patients, reducing hospitalizations and enhancing overall patient care and progress.”

Zach Gantt, RRT, FAARC, Encore Healthcare’s CEO, said in the announcement, “We are thrilled to reach this important milestone of 100,000 patients served through Nexus. Our team’s dedication to developing a robust and user-friendly software solution, coupled with the unwavering support from our clients and partners, has made this achievement possible. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of so many individuals.”

Nexus’s functions include monitoring symptoms in real time, providing personalized care plans, and using secure communication channels and data-driven insights. Encore Healthcare said Nexus is being used in all 50 states, meaning “more than 100,000 patients received more engagement by respiratory therapists, felt better, and had an improved quality of life, with more than 45,000 hospitalizations avoided.

“HME providers across the country realize the results of value-based respiratory care. Healthcare is changing; outcomes are the future.”
