VGM Canada Names Innaugural Canadian HME Woman of the Year Finalists

Michelle Harvey, Allison Seiderer and Cindy Wickens were selected as the award’s first-ever finalists for their impact on their communities, companies and the industry.

VGM Canada has announced the three finalists for the inaugural Canadian HME Woman of the Year award, which recognizes women for their impact on their communities, companies and the industry.

This year’s finalists are Michelle Harvey, vice president of Sales & Products for HME Home Health in Richmond, B.C.; Allison Seiderer, president and CEO for Living Well Home Medical Equipment in Peterborough, Ont.; and Cindy Wickens, sales manager for XPerience Home Healthcare in Windsor, Ont. 

Finalists were selected from a pool of nominees by the Canadian HME Woman of the Year selection committee. Committee members include Dominique Sedlezky, senior director of Operations and Funding at Sunrise Medical Canada Inc.; Evan Kellett, president of the BC Home Medical Equipment Providers Association; Richard Fendert, manager of Home Health Care for Lawtons Drug Stores; and Rick Synkowicz, CEO of Human Care Canada Inc. 

The winner of the 2022 Canadian HME Woman of the Year award will be announced before the keynote session at the Canadian Seating & Mobility Conference on Oct. 20 at 8:15 a.m. 

“We are incredibly excited to present the first Canadian HME Woman of the Year award to one of these outstanding finalists,” said Dave Davies, president of VGM Canada. “We are honored to be able to bring this prestigious award to the HME and mobility providers in Canada. Each of these women has made an impact to her community, company, and the industry. Congratulations to this year’s finalists.” 

The Canadian HME Woman of the Year nominations are open to all women, regardless of title or position, who work within the HME or mobility industry. Nominees can be suppliers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, manufacturers, and other professionals in the HME or mobility industry.
