ResMed’s new QuietAir diffuser vent elbow for its AirFit and AirTouch F20 CPAP masks reduces noise by 89 percent and produces a 70 percent gentler air flow, according to the company. Excess noise produced by therapy is a key concern for both sleep apnea patients and their bedmates, to the point that it can hamper compliance. The QuietAir brings those noise levels for ResMed’s full face masks “well below ambient noise,” according to ResMed CEO Mick Farrell.
