Safety First: Medline Hosts National Rodeo

Drivers for MedTrans — the privately owned transportation fleet for Medline Industries — recently competed in the premiere MedTrans National Rodeo at Medline’s distribution center in Grayslake, Ill. Regional winners from California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, and Texas competed in the national event as they were cheered by more than 200 family members, friends, and colleagues. The event tested competitors’ driving and safety skills, such as backing up more than 50 feet, driving forward and backward around arrangements of cones, and backing up to a loading dock.

In an Aug. 1 announcement, Medline congratulated Luis Ignacio Becerra Leal (first place), Samuel Garcia (second place), and Ivan Arroyo (third place) in the Parcel and Straight Truck category; and Arthur “AP” Porn (first place); Troy White (second place); and Brad Willard (third place) in the Tractor-Trailer category.
