Repair Authority Acquires Pitcock Biomedical

Purchase of Tennessee HME repair company expands Repair Authority’s oxygen and sleep repair services into the Southeast.

HME repair company Repair Authority has acquired Pitcock Biomedical, a Manchester, Tenn.-based HME repair company.

The deal extends Repair Authority’s services for oxygen and sleep devices such as oxygen concentrators, CPAPs, and ventilators into the Southeast United States. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.

Pitcock Biomedical’s repair facility will begin operating as Repair Authority immediately, and service to existing HME dealers will be uninterrupted.

“HME dealers and manufacturers alike are demanding a repair partner that can keep pace with their own growth trajectories,” said Jesse Keirn, CEO of Repair Authority. The addition of Pitcock Biomedical to our team will expand our capacity and capability to serve providers nationwide.”

“After 30 years in business, Pitcock has built a team of experienced repair technicians with a foothold in the Southeast U.S. Joining the Repair Authority network will allow us to better serve HME dealers in our region,” added Jeff Schmidt, president of Pitcock Biomedical, who will continue to lead the Manchester, Tenn., repair facility.

In related news, Repair Authority announced that MSC Biomedical, which merged with Repair Authority in January 2022, will be rebranded as Repair Authority this spring.

With the integration of Pitcock Biomedical and MSC Biomedical, Repair Authority is now one of the largest HME repair companies in the country, serving HME providers in all 50 states. It holds Authorized Warranty Service Center contracts with vendors such as Philips Respironics, ResMed, Invacare, Drive DeVilbiss, O2 Concepts, Rhythm Healthcare, Direct Supply and CAIRE.

“Bringing all three companies under the Repair Authority brand reflects our commitment to sustaining and growing the reputation for repair reliability that we’ve built over our 32 years in business,” Keirn said.
