Drive Medical Acquires Mountway Holdings Ltd.

Buy of UK manufacturer adds range of bath lifts and living aids to Drive's lineup.

Drive Medical has aquired Mountway Holdings Limited, a United Kingdon manufacturer and distributor of bathlifts and independent living aids, such as toilet lifts, pillow lifts and related products. Mountway has won awards for its products and service and has a strong position in the U.K. government sector, according to Drive.

“We are pleased to add Mountway to the Drive family," said Drive Chairman and CEO Harvey Diamond. "The combination of their innovative design led philosophy and high value-added products will accelerate Drive’s growth in the bath and independent aid product categories in the UK market.”

Mountway's product lineup includes its Neptune rigid bathlift and Aquila and Splash bathlifts. As well as its Serena pillow lift and its award winning Solo patient toilet lift.

“Mountway has a proven track record for product development and innovation of bathlifts and independent living aids,” said Richard McGleenan, managing director of Drive Medical Limited.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
