Nominations Open HME Woman of the Year

The 2021 edition of the VGM award program is open to women who have contributed to their companies, communities and the HME industry.

VGM & Associates is now taking nominations for the 2021 HME Woman of the Year Award through Oct. 22.

The sixth annual award recognizes a woman in the HME industry who has made significant contributions throughout her career to her company, community, and the HME industry.

“The HME Woman of the Year Award honors exceptional leaders in our industry,” said Clint Geffert, president of VGM & Associates. “Whether through advocacy, sharing expertise with peers, or by being innovative to grow business, this award recognizes a woman who makes a lasting impact on her customers, community, and coworkers.”

Each year, VGM receives dozens of nominations for nominees from various segments of HME, rehab, respiratory and mastectomy care, including providers, manufacturers and association executives.

Last year four finalists were honored during a virtual ceremony, with Patty Mastandrea, chief executive officer (CEO) of MedCare Equipment Co. LLC, receiving the 2020 HME Woman of the Year Award.

HME Woman of the Year nominations are open to all women who work within the HME industry, regardless of their title or position. Nominations are due Oct. 22 and can be submitted at www.vgm.com/womanoftheyear

The winner will be announced during a virtual ceremony on Dec. 16.

“We all know a woman who deserves to be recognized for her actions in our industry, and this is your opportunity to shine a light on all her accomplishments,” Geffert said.
