AAHomecare Enjoys a Surge in Support

Association takes on new corporate members and sees many existing members raise their sponsorship levels to help drive its industry advocacy.

The number of companies supporting the American Association for Homecare at the corporate partner level has expanded this year, helping the organization pursue its efforts on behalf of HME stakeholders.

American Medical Technologies joined the Association in March as a Platinum corporate partner, and Apria Healthcare and McKesson both increased their support to the platinum level this year, as well. This brought the association’s number of Platinum partners to seven.

Also, AeroCare, AdaptHealth, National Seating & Mobility, Rotech Healthcare and Ventec Life Systems raised their support to the Silver level. Aeroflow, Hollister, Invacare and SuperCare Health have joined the corporate partner program at the Bronze level.

The surge of support pushed the number of companies supporting AAHomecare at its top membership tiers to 35. Also, 15 member companies increased their memberships to higher dues categories this year based on increased revenues, the association reported.

“We appreciate the investment that every one of our members is making in AAHomecare,” said AAHomecare President and CEO Tom Ryan. “Hundreds of companies, large and small, are making a significant financial commitment, contributing time and expertise to serve on Association councils, and lending their passionate support to advocacy efforts at the federal and state level. This support has helped us secure important wins for this industry and has positioned us to fight for more in the months ahead.”

The fact that so many industry leaders have made the decision to support AAHomecare at the Corporate Partner level was especially gratifying because it drives more resources to the association’ regulatory, legislative and payer relations efforts, Ryan added.

“These companies are going above and beyond to ensure a better future for the entire HME community and the patients we serve,” he said. “I hope that suppliers take note of the manufacturers, distributors, and other service providers who are sponsoring AAHomecare at the highest levels, as well.

“When you do business with these companies, you’re working with partners that are providing extra resources to help secure sustainable reimbursement rates and reduce burdensome regulatory requirements,” he added.
