JTEK to Debut New Home Access Studio

Home access provider JTEK Solutions Group will cut the ribbon on its first brick-and-mortar store on May 1 in North Canton, Ohio, and the location aims to help clients envision how home access products can fit into their homes.

Collaborating with interior design firm Josh King Designs, local suppliers, and national brand vendors, JTEK will debut an upscale design studio to incorporate the company’s full range of premium products and services throughout the space.

In the space, JTEK will showcase a variety of custom home design displays, including three full bathrooms, a full bedroom with ceiling lift, a kitchenette, four stairlifts, a wheelchair lift, and two accessible bathtubs. Clients can ascend a custom ramp to another section of the store where they can see a fully accessible smart kitchen, as well as a collection of five custom Bestbath shower units, some of which include barrier-free showers, traditional curbed showers, European wet rooms, and accessible bathtubs.

The company will also offer a retail space in the back where customers can purchase related items such grab bars, threshold ramps and other do-it-yourself home access products, as well as contact further interior design and consulting services in meeting spaces throughout the building.

“When we decided to take the leap forward and create this Design Studio, we knew it had to break the status quo of typical mobility showrooms,” said Jared Chevraux, CEAC, vice president of Operations for JTEK. “The layout, products and finish materials need to make each visitor feel like they are guests in a beautifully built and well-designed home. I think we accomplished those goals.”

JTEK was founded in 2011 by company President Joseph R. Chevraux, CEAC, CHAMP, who is the father of Jared Chevraux, who joined in 2014. Since its launch, the company has focused on home renovations for safety and accessibility with an eye on positively impacting their community. Key clients include seniors, children and adults living with disabilities, injured workers, and disabled veterans.

During the holidays, JTEK will also offer free suitcase ramp rentals for those needing mobile accessibility when traveling to other homes.

The site will also house employee offices and a conference room for meetings, training and community business or organization gatherings. The Design Studio will also be a training facility for Walsh University’s Occupational Therapy Program each summer semester.
