ResMed Adds New Remote Monitoring Capabilities For Respiratory Patients

New upgrades to the AirView for Respiratory system include a “management by exception” function and more granular clinical data.

In a move to expand remote patient monitoring capabilities for respiratory patients, ResMed has upgraded its AirView for Respiratory system to include interactive reporting options for HME providers and physicians.

New features include a “management by exception” functionality, which lets clinicians identify which patients are experiencing ventilation issues or disease progression on one screen. The capability was already available for sleep apnea patients before it was added to the general respiratory program.

Providers and physicians will also be able to take advantage of new interactive reporting functions, allowing them to analyze granular clinical data and trends over time. ResMed hopes the new monitoring options will help clinicians understand the full picture of their patient’s therapy and response to treatment.

“With management by exception and interactive reporting capabilities, AirView for Respiratory will undoubtedly help physicians and HMEs enhance the quality of care they provide to their patients,” Steven Lubke, the vice president of North American respiratory care marketing, said.

The updated program is now available for patients in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
